George Guimarães, presidente da ONG VEDDAS foi convidado para palestrar na maior e mais antiga conferência de direitos animais do mundo.

With 30 year history, a Animal Rights National Conference meets annually in the U.S. over 1.000 activists coming from all over the world to 5 days of lectures, offices, video releases, awards and exchange of experiences. This year's edition takes place from 02 a 06 August in the capital and will com 80 speakers representing 60 organizations. Em oito anos consecutivos de participação como palestrante, the president has done VEDDAS 16 lectures, presenting to foreign activists its projects, compartilhando as suas experiências e discutindo as suas estratégias.

This year, George Guimarães decided to make a video log with testimonials and short interviews, showing a bit about what happens at the conference to share with local activists and ViSta Himself (www.vista-se.com.br) was chosen to be the portal for the dissemination of these videos. The event is a great forum to share experiences, discuss strategies, report the progress of the movement's actions and expose the work of different groups working for animal liberation on all fronts. Over 120 actions performed only in 2011(see the annual activity accessing https://veddas.org.br/ra2011.pdf ) the VEDDAS itself as an NGO defending the rights of animals more active and Brazil's presence at the international conference has been very important to show the world what has been done in the animal rights movement in Brazil at the same time that these actions are result of learning acquired through participation in conferences like this, trazendo para o ativismo no Brasil as estratégias e experiência adquirida durante a participação.
