The President of Vedder, George Guimarães, will be this weekend in Federal University of Para (Bethlehem, PA) to participate in the “1Seminar Amazonian Animal Law: learn to defend!” delivering a lecture on vegetarian nutrition and a workshop for animal rights activism. The event is organized by the group COMES (Vegetarians In Motion). Check out the schedule. On the same occasion, the VEDDAS take you into town activities related to the construction of the hydroelectric plant of Belo Monte, which will be released later.

12h as 14h – Vegan Lunch. Videos about Veganism and Animal Rights.

14h as 15h – Legislative Projects on Animal Rights. Presentations Dep. State Edmilson Rodrigues and Councilman Joseph Skaff.

15h as 16h – About the Animal Rights Lecture with Professor. Dr. Heron Godilho (BA). Post-Doctor from Pace Law School (USA); Prosecutor Environment of Salvador-BA; Professor UFBa, where he leads the research group on environmental law and animal law.
16h as 17h – Debate with the participation of prosecutors and the judiciary of Pará.

17h as 18h – Activism in Bethlehem – entities animal rights.
