The VEDDAS provided guidance to a student of psychology at PUC-SP that it wished to claim for Conscientious Objection in classes that use animals. In August 2011 the student was successful in defending their right to conduct extra lessons to animal testing. The guidance was provided by Luis Martini, Director of Academic Affairs of VEDDAS, together with George Guimaraes, President of the organization.
