Call for the International Day of Animal Rights 2011
JOIN THE INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR ANIMAL RIGHTS IN SAO PAULO
09 and 10 December
– 09 December (Friday) at 11:30 on Tea Overpass (Center, Sao Paulo, SP)
From 2010, changed the format of this action and repeat the same approach this year. Here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Bh-cnwSmcM the video of the action last year. We will hold two days of this year and that actions is an invitation for you to participate.
SCENARIO
We will be exposing animal carcasses obtained from disposal industry (such as heads and fish bones) or accidents (such as a sloth who did not survive after being rescued from an accident with power lines). See the instructions below to learn more about the posture required to participate in this activity. The quota required for this action is 10 volunteers to hold the bodies of animals and 20 volunteers to interact with the public. We will be using the VEDDAS-CARTE to view videos and deliver leaflets to the public interested in receiving this information. To better understand the scenario that will be mounted, watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =3BH-cnwSmcM
ATTENTION
– It is very important to arrive punctually at the scheduled time because there will be preparations for the bodies of animals and instructions attitude towards animals and the public that can not be passed after the start time. Ideally, try to get a half hour before the scheduled time. We will already be there.
– You can choose to hold the animals or talk to the public. We had a very positive response from the public last year and we have feedback even better if we have more people to talk to the audience that inevitably forward the scenario that assemble.
– Come pants or black skirt (those shorts are not permitted to hold the animals) shirt and black VEDDAS. Who does not have a shirt, may acquire the site and who does not want to purchase it will be some units to be borrowed.
– This is not an ordinary action for a protest or leafleting "friendly". The presence of dead animals prompts an attitude of respect and public reaction is often shock. Therefore, come willing to represent animals forcefully and consistent with the reality in which they live. The International Animal Rights Day is not a time to fellowship or promote vegetarianism as a lifestyle choice, but a day to show the reality of animal exploitation. Therefore, come only if you are willing to adopt this stance and not come to "celebrate" or "find friends". For these occasions there are other dates in October and November.
– To participate as a volunteer this impacting action on behalf of animals, is important that you confirm your attendance by Thursday at 16 hours by e-mail voluntarios@veddas.org.br
