Day 10 December is the International Day of Animal Rights, and coincided with the Second Monday of the month, Day CineVEDDAS!
For the occasion we'll display the movie Earthlings (Earthlings), as always followed by discussion and tasting vegan food!
Synopsis: The film shows how to work the farms and reports the dependence of mankind on animals for food, clothing and fun, beyond use in scientific experiments. Compares speciesism of the human species with other relations of domination, as racism and sexism.
It is narrated by actor and animal rights activist Joaquin Phoenix, The soundtrack was composed exclusively for the documentary by musician Moby.
