By animal activists, were released on Friday last, after serving six years of a sentence of twelve, in relation to the campaign "Save the Newchurch Guinea Pig", leave prison.
My dear friends vegans,
This is my last public letter and my last article pseudo-intellectual prison. Hallelujah! I admit that, as many of us, I've always had an extremely pessimistic view of humanity and what it means to be a member of our strange sort of post-primate. I did not think much past six years, wanting desperately to find some ecological or evolutionary epiphany that made me see clearly how harmony could be achieved with these voracious predators are humans. That vision never came. The lightning was a fantasy. Now that this six-year journey ends, my mind is slower and still suffers the recent loss of my mother, my ideas are less dramatic and more clear. There are entombed by fantasies, hopes or visions, but by knowledge, knowing that there was an hour or a day or a week these six long years I have not felt loved and supported by an international community of compassionate vegans. I do not need lightning: I know that there is a world outside of conscious activists: organizing, creating strategies and living their struggle for animal liberation and earth everyday. How do I know all this? For six years you have written and told me.
The experience of this important information bombardment has taught me that veganism and altruism are synonymous and symbolic, as constant encouragement of one another, each evolved and expanded global compassion for the benefit of all life. This rejection of all domination and oppression, veganism becomes a permanent opportunity for change. A political platform, ecological and ethical reaffirms that regenerates and altruism in the hearts and minds of those who practice. Each time you refuse to consume animal flesh or products tested on animals, are questioning the relationship between humans, animals and plants. And, as is known, vegans strive for harmony and equality in these relations and remain on guard and fighting, When this harmony is exploited or attacked. That's because veganism is a moral commitment to the principle of freedom, one natural and evolved expression of freedom! Persistently moved all forms of speciesism the welfare of animals and abused and mistreated her place, land. Shout! Proud! Ser vegan!
Spent six years, an epic saga of six years behind me, alive and safe with this assessment we, vegans, we are doing things correctly, our own, different, complex and diverse way. Each card, e-mail and visits I received (of old and new friends, e perto of loin) had indomitable courage and pioneering, I remember my mother very much, a tenacity that refuses to accept injustice and cares for all the victims of abuse and oppression. You all were so incredibly loving and generous… you kept my head out of the water when he thought it best to drown. I thank them with each of my cells and molecules so. Soon, I'll be ready to celebrate the life of my mother and my own freedom, and always remember that wonderful and dear friends have vegans around the world!
By innocent animals, tortured, converted to objects, persecuted and murdered, they desperately need our help every day.
For my mother, Peggy Ablewhite, I raised and loved me.
Honor his memory with grateful hearts.
For all of you, My dear friends vegans.
