As was posted on the Internet this week, the ALF claimed responsibility for an attack on the central vivarium UFSC. Coincidently, George Guimarães, president VEDDAS, was in Florianópolis this week for a chat with activists ( https://veddas.org.br /noticiasmenu/142–veddas em--lectures-and-bate-papo-em-curitiba-e-florianopolis.html ). The chat took place on the same campus where the action occurred UFSC ALF that, judging by the release issued, happened just a few hours after this meeting.

The ALF operates clandestinely in the form of independent cells spread throughout the world with the goal of freeing animals in situations of exploitation and cause economic losses to the institutions responsible for the exploitation sa.

VEDDAS is characteristic of its operations with the use of peaceful and educational media to spread the message of animal rights, some unusual, but always within the law established by the existing system. Notwithstanding, the VEDDAS recognizes the role of direct action as a means of action that integrates the animal rights movement worldwide, including having been one of the topics of this lecture on 16 September 2011 in the auditorium of the Bar Association of Paraná in Brazil (OAB-PR).

The Animal Liberation Front (ALF) assumes authorship of the invasion of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) The madrugada of 20 September 2011. We left our mark on the walls of the vivarium complex UFSC, including the new building of the Central Animal Facility, under construction, so that all vivisectors know that we are here and everywhere struggling for freedom of mice, pigeons, goats and dogs that keeps UFSC feedlot to be used in experiments exceeded that violate the interests of these animals and do not benefit human health.
