The VEDDAS was represented in the worldwide protests against the construction of Belo Monte dam that occurred in Toronto (Canada), Los Angeles (USA) and New York (USA), besides having articulated so that other groups realizassem protests in other cities around the world and also in Brazil. The Los Angeles protest was reported by a local television station with the participation of President of VEDDAS, George Guimarães, which granted a video interview distance.
