Unhappy McDia 2010

Activists from all 5 regions of the country gathered on 28 August 2010 Salvador to protest the hypocrisy of the fast food chain McDonald's at the time that the company promotes McDia "Unhappy", which seeks to link your image to a company that cares about childhood cancer, when that actually promotes an eating pattern that has great potential to cause disease, including directing their advertising to children.

Armed with banners and a megaphone, the 25 protesters used their voice during the 3 hours of the protest to alert the public about the hypocrisy of the campaign concealing promoted by fast food chain, educating him further about the benefits of a vegetarian diet and other issues relevant to the topic of animal rights.

The protest was organized by the NGO VEDDAS - Ethical Vegetarianism, Direct defense of Animals and Society happened and parallel to II World Congress of Bioethics and Animal Rights, promoted Abolicionista Animal Hair Institute at the Federal University of Bahia.

The protest organizers wish to thank the organizers for logistical support, had fundamental importance for the realization of protest.

Concomitantly to protest Salvador, paulistanos activists also held in front of one of the chain's stores located in the Avenida Paulista promoted the traditional protest in the city on that date.
