The president of the NGO-VEDDAS Vegetarianism, Defense of Animals and Society, George Guimarães, was invited to speak at the International Animal Rights Conference (International Conference on Animal Rights) to be performed 13 a 16 September 2012 em Luxemburgo, the heart of Europe.

The conference will be attended by 40 speakers coming from 20 and more countries 350 participants from over 40 countries. The site International Animal Rights Conference brings the full program of the conference.

The conference in Luxembourg is a great forum to share experiences, discuss strategies and report the progress of actions by the animal liberation movement on several fronts throughout the world. Speakers include philosophers, psychologists, lawyers, Nutritionists, Educators, Filmmakers, journalists, former political prisoners, Legendary activists like English Ronnie Lee (founder of the now clandestine ALF - Animal Liberation Front), writer Carol J. Adams (author of “The Sexual Politics of Meat”) e o filósofo Steve Best.

The presence of this international conference VEDDAS, like other conferences abroad which the NGOs have participated, brings visibility to animal rights activism being carried out in Brazil and is expanding its network of international articulation within this social justice movement this worldwide.
