VEDDAS|Sorocaba Participates in the First Cycle of Resistance & Solidarity, in Piracicaba, SP

The audience was vegan, lacto-ovo vegetarians and people were hearing on the issue for the first time

In the early evening of Saturday (13), Slightly more 50 people attended the event I Cycle Resistance & Solidarity, in Piracicaba, São Paulo (160 km da capital / 70 km from Campinas).

The event was sponsored by Collective V.I.D.A. (Vehicle Intervention for Animal Law) and the Cooperative Choose Vegan, that sells vegan snacks for fundraising event on the topic. The support of the House of Hip Hop, venue, was essential for achieving the same.

Around 17:30, Mirian Miranda, NGO representative Vira Vira Lata Life (site), spoke about the work of the NGO which houses over 300 pets and also promotes veganism among its volunteers.

At 18:50, Fabio Chaves, founder and infoativista the ViSta is presented details about the history of veganism and about the reasons that lead people to adopt this philosophy of life.

Around 20:45 the film was screened Bold Native (Courage Native), a work of fiction based on real events that tells the story of people who invade private property and industries to save farm animals.

The event was attended by activists of the NGO VEDDAS |Sorocaba and a video producer from Southern Cross University, São Paulo, that recorded the event for inclusion in a future documentary about veganism.
